Game will get replaced by a more refined clone with a higher development budget and large marketing campaign.

This. Anyone who downvoted the above comment is an idiot.

The idea of PUBG itself came from H1Z1's King Of The Kill, and there's no reason to believe the same thing won't happen again.

YOU do realise it was Player unknown aka Brendan Greene who created the h1z1 battle royal mode for Sony/Daybreak games along with the original BR for Arma 2 and 3 !!! It's the same guy dumbdumb !!

The thing is that is not slowing down. Batlegrounds is selling more every week.

TC7313193d ago

You really don't think it'll plateau? Cuz basically EVERY OTHER GAME EVER has.

TechRaptor3188d ago

It will slow down some - it's doing exceptionally well though. The point I make in the article is that, barring mobile devices or free to play, no game has ever reached that 100m target in total sales. The other major way you get larger numbers there is being a first part exclusive pack-in which... it also is not. So, its best case target is Grand Theft Auto V... which after over 4 years hasn't sold 100m units total, let alone active users monthly. Hell, Minecraft only has 55m users monthly.
