Gamereactor talked to Senior Producer Rob Jones about the Switch version of NBA 2K18.
"Well the main thing that our president said from day one is that the Switch had to be the same exact game that was on PS4 and Xbox One, so by starting there, you know, the bar was already set extremely high, because we were already working really, really hard just to get it on platforms we already knew, and then suddenly to take that and miniaturise it for the portable, you know, the portable Switch (obviously it also plays when it's docked), but to get all those features working on there was kind of a gargantuan task," he told us.

Microtransactions are generally bad. It is very rare to see them well implemented in games. Worse, these supplemental purchases can completely mess up the balance, make a product pay-to-win, and even rip people off. Sometimes, they can even kill games! Here are seven of the most frustrating examples of recent microtransactions. Use them as a warning to keep in mind when you should be skeptical of some developers and publishers’ intentions.
But black ops4 was already killed after the pay to win. Battlefront 2 was a disaster and evolve met a horrible end
Every game I've played that had MTs were payed absolutely no mind.Played from beginning to end without a MT hitch.

Mat Piscatella from The NPD Group revealed the Top 10 games by dollar sales on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One until October 6th. He also said Spider-Man will soon enter the chart on PlayStation 4.
Interesting. Currently each console only has 1 exclusive in the top 10, GOW and Halo 5. the rest of the games are multi plats.
Halo 5 is still going strong and it released in 2015. This is why for the first time we have not got a new Halo game with in 3 years of the previous release.
Halo Infinite take your time.
XOXOXO

During a recent interview, NBA Live 19 Creative Director Ryan Santos commented on the inclusion of microtransactions in single-player after the backlash NBA 2K18 received.
Exactly, the graphical differences are negligible at best for these third party games.
People will soon realize this that the graphics gap between ps4/xbox will not show as much as they think it would in real life world scenarios for these games. While sony and microsoft focus on extra pixels, sharper shadows, and buzz words Nintendo will focus on fun, portability, funnier ways to play the same indie games, and more higher rated exclusives. Sales will reflect this
Pretty sure they mean feature wise, not visually.
So lazy development... code to the lowest denominator... copy and paste... lame... looks like I'll pass.
PS4/Xbox One - 1080p 60 fps
PS4 Pro/ Xbox One X- native 4k 60 fps with HDR
Switch - 720p 30fps
Sure it's gonna look the same.....
