Awful review. It touches on some of the good points and has an accurate description as far as how the game basically just turns you loose with no real clue on what to do, but many survival games are exactly like that. The video is a bit misleading as it's obviously on a private single player game as he's got full riot armor, and assault rifle and yet is still using a bow and taming with berries. He mentions a few times that the community on the public servers is helpful and that is rarely the case and most players will agree that the majority of the players are straight up toxic. For anyone who has played Ark a decent amount this review will hit the obvious points and then miss the real issues by a mile.

Thank you for your feedback. I'll make greater strides to improve my reviews in the future.

It's good that you are listening, it shows that you are at least interested in making better reviews. In my opinion, Ark is not a game that can be reviewed quickly. Until you get to the level where you are farming, breeding and have a decent egg supply for kibble, you are only scratching the surface. Then there's metal mining, searching the ocean floor and deep water for goodies, fishing for engrams and high end loot, caves, and of course, the boss fights and Tek Tier. And that's only if you play solo or PvE. If you play PvP, it's an entirely different animal full of alliances, betrayals, favors, backstabbing, trading and general hopelessness.

Ark has a lot of good points, it allows you to play with dinosaurs, which few games allow you to do to this extent and has a good bit of crafting, farming and all of that nonsense that goes along with any survival game. Where it utterly fails is the developer is entirely employed by morons, the building is a glitchy mess that seldom works correctly on the first try, the graphics on console are horrible and below average for the FPS on most PCs, it's full of bugs that have been there for months with no fix or even comment on most from the devs, and the dev is another one of those that insist you play their totally open and instruction-less game their way, whatever that maybe this week and to hell with whatever cool ideas you may have come up with given the implied freedom in the game.

Few games have this much potential, in my opinion, but all the same it will sadly never reach it's full potential.

One of the reasons the footage is on a private server is due to me getting my stupid ass and dinosaurs earlier on in my playing, so the footage was a bit stop gap and something I wish I could have done better.

I agree that more time with ARK would have been better, but unfortunately, I had to review ARK quicker than I anticipated due to the fact that I have other games to review. I am tempted to return to ARK when there is another games drought as I really wished I had time to dig deeper into the game.

Once again thank you for your feedback I really appreciate it. For some reason I find people are hesitant to give negative feedback, I don't know why, as I find the negative (constructive) feedback can be the most helpful as it shows where you can improve.
