Flashcube Studios has released several new screenshots from Spectraball, illustrating this game that introduces a new style of gameplay through physics-driven platforming.

Shiny Loot has launched their latest fixed price bundle. The Universal OS Bundle features 4 indie games each with a common sci-fi theme. Each game is available for PC, Mac, and Linux and most of them feature a Desura key while Spectraball features a Steam key. The bundle will remain active for an additional 13 days and 10 hours.

Out of Eight writes: "There are several ways to reach a goal in life. Hard work. Commitment. Rolling a marble. Yes, the marble puzzle genre, much like Gary Busey, appears every once in a while to grace us with physics-based mayhem and suspended platforms to fall off of. We've experienced Switchball and Marble Blast as two more recent additions to the genre, as now it is time for Spectrabal."
The Good:
+Simple controls
+Plausible physics
+Online high score list
+Informative tutorial
+Only $10
The Not So Good:
-Extremely difficult from the start
-Loose controls clash with strict level design
-Only fifteen maps and no level editor
-Limited special abilities and unlockable content
-Can't manually save progress between levels

If you loved Monkey Ball or other rolling ball based games, give Spectraball a go. At best, you will love it, at worst, you'll find a nice little game to play when you need to kill some time. The scoreboard system also provide some competetive motivation. The developers promise online content soon to come, so you'll likely get some new levels and special powers when they deliver.
