Whether you are looking for a relaxing experience, or want to conquer an entire continent, Mount & Blade is a very good game since its early beta stage. It is excellent and will provide a level of satisfaction that few titles with budgets can still do these days.

Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord may not be out yet, but modders sure seem eager to get started with TaleWorlds Entertainment's long-awaited quasi-historical strategy RPG. There's already a Tolkien mod in the making, and one concerning Silmarillion, at that.
