A lot of these are incompatible with most games.

I don't understand it.

It's because a lot of PC games don't have an option for a PC controller. Most games assume you're going to use a mouse and keyboard. I wanted to play Beyond Good & Evil on PC with a controller but I found that it only has configurations for K&M. That turned me off of it.

I only use gamepads for emulators.

I've bought lots of joypads over the years for my PC and nothing comes close to the quality of one of the console pads such as the 360 or PS3 pads. I love Logitech's mice and steering wheels but their pads leave a lot to be desired and Saitek's offering's just feel cheap and flimsy and not as responsive. Microsoft and Sony spend millions in R&D because the pad is the primary input device for their machines and it shows.

I say the 360 controller is the best. Because most new games work with it straight away and it doesnt need to be configured or anything.

It depends on the game and your software. I've been using the Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2 and it works well with most of my PC games IF they have the option of a PC controller. I know that my emulators work well with it. Some games that started on a console and are ported to PC also have a PC controller option by default. DiRT, Assassin's Creed, and Oblivion are a few examples. Controllers work well, but generally games that are developed on PC only will not feature a PC controller option.

Yell at me for not doing research but I never quite understood why it would be a bad idea for the 360 controller, which is my favorite by the way, to sell a model with the dpad in the far left as an option for those fighter games and all...

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit45d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing45d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9245d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
