Ironic statement considering it was Mikami who made the series lose it's identity with RE4. It was a good game on it's own merits but it was also what kind of ruined the series.

RE lost it's identity long ago, the worst offense being RE6. RE7 was a fresh take on the series, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

RE7 was fantastic though? Weren't a fan of the black coloured monsters that I can't remember the name of but the game was a million times better than anyone had expected after the Luke warm response it received when they announced it was going first person.
