Sega aims to release 2D Sonic games alongside the 3D ones each year, but it's questionable how the company plans to continue this trend.

There hasn't been a 3D Sonic platformer on PlayStation or Xbox for 6 years.
It would've been great if this Tag Team mode also featured co-op with other players. It seems like a nice homage to Sonic Heroes by letting one player control multiple characters at a time, but the option should've still be there.
In fact I hope Sonic Forces has a separate competitive mode. We haven't had a quality one in a 3D Sonic game for the longest time.
Im going to remain skeptical.. Plus i really dont like that only Sonic is playable..
