It won't be exclusive

Educated guess is that it probably will come to the PS4 after all the early access stuff is done.

That's how it was with both We Happy Few and Ark. Both were originally announced as XB/PC initially. Then as the early access phases for both were winding down, PS4 versions were announced.

But this is only me guessing.

It is definitely vague and there are arguments for both. Personally i would rather they just said.

The trailer said Xbox Exclusive. Not timed, not console first... just Xbox Exclusive. Beyond that, I don't know.

Ok guys come on... If it was a full on EXCLUSIVE which it is not. XBOX and Bluehole would all be taunting it around. It cleary said LAUNCH EXCLUSIVE.... They are just trying to Hype up the xbox side and have people buy or switch over then in 6-12 months it will come to ps4 just like the head DEV said he wants to be on as many platforms as he can. Do you really think PUBG would skip out on a install base for 70-75mil let alone by the time it comes out for ps4 we maybe be looking at 80-85mil

Why does MS always try to be ambiguous about it, it only ever ends up backfiring and shining a laser focus on the fact that it's not really exclusive. Like, if they were just more clear about it, this article wouldn't exist.

Get it on Steam. Community is better and the online is free.

Might as well be exclusive to me. I have an X1X, no point in playing it on PS...plus X1 and PC will most likely be crossplay....with Sony AGAIN saying no crossplay

Unlike what people seem to think, this is definitely not a console seller. You won't see anyone saying: Oh PUBG is out on console(s), I will buy a Xbox One or PS4 for PUBG.

The demand won't transfer to consoles. There isn't even gonna be any crossplay between any platforms. PS4 and Xbox One won't crossplay with each other and PC won't crossplay with any of them because keyboard people would have an unfair advantage. Plus look at Ark, the console versions is several patches behind, so will this. Can't crossplay between platforms when one is further ahead.

Who cares if it's "timed" or not. The point is if you want to play it NOW (or whenever it's out) you can get it on Xbox. (Go home PC nobody is talking to you!)...some don't see it as a big deal but I wonder how many people picked up tomb raider on ps4 after a year. (It's a rhetorical question).

Sounds like the same deal that We Happy Few had where it was console exclusive for Early Access but the full retail release will be multiplatform.

Lack of clarity in that department always means it's not. Otherwise they would outright say "Yes this is a console lifetime exclusive, you'll never see it on PS4". Skirting around the issue trying to use other words means its not.

MS should get much stronger flak for doing this trick every time FFS. first with ROTTR and now this.

It's as exclusive as Rise of the Tomb Raider was exclusive. If people kept questioning the deal and if it was coming to PS4 in a year, they would still be talking about launching on the xbox one. But you know what, if it doesn't it doesn't. I've enjoyed watching streams of this but probably wouldn't play it.

BTW Microsoft and myself have different definitions of exclusive (noun -an item or story published or broadcast by only one source) Microsoft seem to think that exclusive's apply only too the consoles, and does not include ,mobile or PC.

so basically this may come to PS4 at some point but they are not working on a PS4 version nor do they have a road map for when and if they will. Their focus is 100% on the PC and Xbox versions.

I imagine it's just another We Happy Few scenario. Early access on the Xbox One. Then once game is ready for full release. PS4 version will then release.

Given the success of the game already, even being just early access, I would find it very odd for the dev to just agree to an exclusivity deal. It's not like they're hurting for cash. It's pretty much a runaway success. I mean how much $$$ is MS willing to throw at an Early Access game? A very successful Early Access game. I guess if they thought it was that important of a game, why not just buy up the studio then?

This game is coming to ps4 as it would be a terrible business move not to do so on blue hole part.. It's not an exclusive because it's already on pc.. It's most likely a timed exclusive for Microsoft which is a good business move for the Xbox brand.

I remember the e3 trailer, it said CONSOLE EXCLUSIVE. At that same e3 showing MS had CONSOLE LAUNCH EXCLUSIVE. Now at gamescon, the actual talk sounds like it's indeed a CONSOLE EXCLUSIVE.

They need to come out and be super clear about it one way or the other.

I predict by 2019 this game will hit the PS4 and that's if Microsoft signed a 1 year timed exclusive with the game like they did with Tomb Raider. Shitty part is when this game hits the PS4 it will be full price unlike the XB1 version thats been out for a year.

Another developer who takes the Microsoft cheque to make what was supposed to be a multiplatform game and now withhold it from PS4. One would think they would have seen what happened to Rise of the Tomb Raider. In any case, isn't this game better played on a PC using a keyboard? If so, it really doesn't make any on what console it is as one is better off with Steam and PC!
