No Man’s Sky Original 1.0 vs 1.32 Patch PS4 Graphics Comparison

Cyckiewicz writes: No Man’s Sky has been continuously improved over last year and latest Atlas Rises Update has brought much more upgrades than we could expect.
Please note that due to procedurally generated environments it is just not possible to ideal match two scenes. Instead let’s focus on Super Formula itself and check how does it works in original version of the game and latest 1.32 Update.
To create this comparison I have used the very same Save File and starting place, right by the crashed ship.
What do you guys think?

Wow, I would have thought the left one was the upgrade... I don't think this patch improved the visuals at all, just by looking at this : /

You know in all honesty, i was really questioning it. When i started playing it my first planet was full of plant life, ALOT of trees. As i playing it i remember these caves were colorful. And recently started playing (love the new add ons in this game) but noticed i am landing on barren worlds with more living creatures around

GamingIVfun3204d ago

Purposefully misleading, not the same planet, the planets are procedurally generated. Lets compare a barren planet to a more lush planet, not a fare or good comparison. Click bait.

cyckiewicz3203d ago

I have clearly stated that I used the same save file in staright out of box game and 1.32 Updated one. The footage taken is the outcome on how the game creates the world before and after the patch. This is the same planet.

Nice try. You can clearly seen in the top.corners it state, 1.0 and 1.32.

Nice troll attempted

Glemt3203d ago

What? That's exactly what I'm saying : D I just said I prefer the looks of version 1.0, so how is that trolling? They clearly improved a lot of the game since release, but I just commented to say I prefer the left side of the screen to the right side of the screen in this video, and was surprised that it changed so much visually; in my opinion for the worse

subtenko3204d ago

Youre not on the same planet...misleading...all you can do is compared the same ship...

teo723203d ago

No, the name of the planet is the same, but all planets are new in Nms 1.3 due to all new universe code. Some planets got barren, some got lush and tropical.

Nacho_Z3203d ago

It doesn't look much better if at all from the video but it does when you play it yourself. Way better.

pyroxxx3203d ago (Edited 3203d ago )

at least compare the same planet,.. would not be that hard (because starting planet's areas are actually designed),.. You can basically find the same starting point (or maybe they are calculated based on your PS4,.. because I think i manganed to start on basically same location while RNG-ing couple of times (billions of light-years away apparently) if you restart about 20 times,.. than make a comparison,.. Seen 100's of shitty planets,.. and some that are mindbogglingly beautiful both in 1.0 and the latest patch.

one2thr3203d ago

It probably is the same planet, but 1.30 regenerated the entire galaxy/universe. Many people have made this complaint/comparison, there were lush planets that turned into barren hazardous planets, and even cases of peoples bases either beginning stuck underground or floating in the air.

Its all part of the regenerated galaxy/universe.
