Amazon has announced that the source code for its Lumberyard Engine is now available on GitHub. This basically means that developers can now directly access Lumberyard source code from Amazon Game Studio’s GitHub repository and use the platform to manager their code.

Maybe you can tell me something though, is using one draw call for models with tiling textures, wind, and LOD typical? I'm not a dev, obvioulsly, but it seems crazy to me that they can get all that started with only one call. I'm assuming from your post that you may be able to explain what's going on that's so impressive about 8 nonetheless.
I'm no dev. either , I'm mostly in to 3D model and animation in 3Ds max, I was using onyxgarden for 3D vegetation but it has his limit's, and i did try Speed tree trail and fell in love with it , its pretty eazy and pretty good quality, i was playing with unreal engine also and lumberyard a couple of time maybe it's time to invest more time in lumberyard
