lol....MS is really trying a lot to make it like it is a new console.....ohhh well just bring good games and i will get one if not...i will just stick with mt ps4 pro and pc =)

Genuine-User3181d ago

But Microsoft has explicitly stated that their new system is part of the Xbox One family - everything works across all three variants.

4Sh0w3181d ago

dreue,

This is good news for future games on the X....why so mad?

Tech53181d ago (Edited 3181d ago )

I wonder if users could deploy the Adam Demo to the Xbox one X.

"It is expected to run 30 fps v-synced @ 1440p on a GeForce GTX 980 and Intel Core i7."

The GTX 980 is 4.6 Tflops so the Xbox one X shouldn't have any issues with this in 4k 30 fps.

kneon3181d ago

This is the Unity blog, it's not Microsoft doing any marketing here.

@dreue

"lol....MS is really trying a lot to make it like it is a new console"

It seems that you´re trying a lot to turn this into bad news

dreue3181d ago

no guys,it is just with ps4 pro was not even half of the stuff...come on even in Eurogamer we have a xbox x place....and way not a ps4 pro? i think it is too much...it is a really good console but every single day there is a lot of stuff about xbox x...and it is still an xbox one upgraded....

Chris123181d ago

@dreue - so we should have less Xbox news because you don't like it? I think you'd be better at a Playstation only site, you would be much happier.

andrewsquall3181d ago

Their engine was never optimised properly for the GDDR5 of PS4 so far this gen. Why would this suddenly change when a new GDDR5 console with currently 0% install base compared to PS4 comes along?

Fishy Fingers3181d ago (Edited 3181d ago )

You mean the GDDR5 that’s been used on GPUs since 2008...?

Yeah devs still really struggling to get their heads around that... (genuine) lol you spam that rubbish all the time.

MecheSlays3181d ago

lol ? its not the gddr5 thats limiting unity its the cpu or something last i though

freshslicepizza3181d ago

Offering better tools is now something to complain about?

BLKxSEPTEMBER3181d ago

For Sony fanboys just saying MS in a MS thread is something to bitch about

zivtheawesome3181d ago

unity and optimising? WTF are you talking about unity was never optimised for any console and won't ever be xD.

Palitera3181d ago

You do realize some very good game were made in Unity for the consoles, right?

Or is this just the usual flock following mentality?

Obscure_Observer3181d ago

@andreewsquall

"Why would this suddenly change when a new GDDR5 console with currently 0% install base compared to PS4 comes along?"

There´s many mysteries in this world. Why CD Projekt Red and ID Software would announce a 4K patch for The Witcher 3 and Doom on Xbox One X, while leaving the PS4 Pro out?

The more support the better. The Big name developers, all already have their engines supporting the X. Bethesda, EA , Ubi, Code Master... have all they coming games supporting the X enhancements. They all really like system due to the results and how easy it is to achieve those results.

Having all these other popular engines support it, means that even small developers will have and easier time getting stellar performance out of the X. So this is great for people like me who play mostly 3rd party on Xbox.

"Unity is excited to announce that support for Xbox One X is available now. Developers will be able to create projects that can be deployed seamlessly to any member of the Xbox One family: Xbox One, Xbox One S and Xbox One X. Taking advantage of the increased power and 4K HDR output of the Xbox One X is as easy as changing some quality settings."

As far as I can see PS4 Pro along with PS4 didn't receive an update with the same features. Unity effectively making Xbox One X the target.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Jingsing1d 17h ago

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Tanktopmaster921d 18h ago

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit1d 18h ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing1d 17h ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster921d 15h ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse

Tanktopmaster921d 15h ago

Let me be clear. This is sarcasm
