UGO: Monster Lab Preview

UGO writes: "Last week we got a look at yet another original game coming to the Wii (PlayStation 2 and Nintendo DS versions will release as well), called Monster Lab. And wouldn't you know it, said game will be brought to you by a third-party developer. Imagine that. Backbone Entertainment, the folks responsible for the Death Jr. series as well as the recent 1942 and Commando 3 for-download enhanced remakes, is all set to release their nonstandard RPG/minigame collection hybrid in early November under the banner of publisher Eidos Interactive.

And what exactly does one do in Monster Lab you ask? Build monsters and send them off to fight, of course!"

Nintendo Life writes: "Despite a few minor shortcomings Monster Lab is a great 3rd party effort for the Wii which has solid controls that make great use of the Remote and will appeal to a broad age range. Kudos to Eidos and Backbone Entertainment for this excellent offering on the Wii, which will hopefully inspire other developers to turn out quality titles".

With all of the Wii titles, the golden standard, surprisingly, has always been Wii Sports.
