Its an incredible game. Headphones make it amazing

Its a amazing what the gaming community will gravitate towards, I wouldn't have thought we would need or care about a game about "mental illness" but you just never know I guess.

I think it's also in regard to the direction NT took with their development, as well as developer diaries. Instead of making it all about the hype of the game, they focused on what makes it personable.

Had this game be released under a publisher it wouldn't be gettin the same praise. Because it wouldn't be nearly as accurate as it is now.

I know some sections with the voices alone that would have been altered to make it more appealing to emerald audience. And probably would have had a lot more mundane combat in it. Something the game doesn't need (not combat but more than what was already in there)

And those few areas where it is a Scripted death wouldn't have been as impactful either I believe.

It was a right call NT doing this on their own and I hope it gives a lot more indie developers a sliver of hope and confidence that we don't need the games as a service or classic action trope games to make money and send their message to the gaming community

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice Review | What's It Like In 2024?

Admittedly, Hellblade: Senua's Saga is far from perfect and won't be a game for everyone, but now with a multitude of accessibility options it has made itself much more palatable for a wider audience, and with constant sale prices between $2-$4, Hellblade: Senua's Saga is too good to pass up for a unique experience that has stood the test of time and will do so once more with its even more robust and epic sequel.

The only thing epic about this “game” is how longnit took to make.

The Hellblade games looked nice but they were essentially walking simulators with a minimal amount of combat tracked on.

At long last, it’s about time they upgraded it !
I didn’t like hellblade 2 at all, which lost all its mystery and originality in this graphically superb but extremely boring sequel. But I loved the first one. And I was pretty annoyed it was stuck on ps4 version on ps5. Bugs and didn’t run that well.
Now I’m going to play it all over again !!! In its nicest version on PlayStation.
