PlayStation 4 trophies for a “Dragon Quest (Free Version)” have shown up on Exophase.
The appearance of the trophies follow the release of Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age for PlayStation 4 and 3DS in Japan on July 29.
Dragon Quest XI S has sold over 8.5 million units worldwide, becoming the best-selling game in the franchise.
When I played this game I was in disbelief that I had somehow not played this franchise. I absolutely adored this game, and have since played two other entries. Been saving the two on 3ds. Next entry is easily a day one purchase.
I had the same man, the goofy aesthetics always kinda prevented me from trying it, but boy was I wrong.

Good. Prefer 4-7 with DS & PS1 graphic though, modest yet stimulating imagination.
Only DQ game i've ever played and one of the best games I've ever played , such a great experience . I wonder if the original ps4 release was included in these sales
i actually bought DQ8 on ps2 back in the day but mainly for the FF12 demo disc lol . I tried it but there were sooo many rpgs to play at the time that I think I played it for for a little bit before trading it in , maybe if they come out with a remaster/remake I'll try it out again
First footage of Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake has been revealed, following last year's Dragon Quest 3 remake.
I've never played a DQ game, but this honestly makes me want to check it out. I really dig that art style.
Grab DQ III HD/2D Remake. It comes chronologically before these two. It's out now.
And, if you play it first, the dev said there's a surprise for when you play I & II.
I never played one till I played 11 and as an old school turnbased fella, I don't know why i waited so long. Its pure turnbased jrpg goodness. If that's your cup of tea you have to give them a try. Now I'm gonna play all of them

Dragon Quest is one of the cornerstone JRPG series that helped make the genre what it is today, and these are the best games.
Dragon Quest VIII 4th? Yikes. That's easily number 1 for me. I'd love to be able to play it again on newer consoles.
III, XI and VIII are my top 3 in that order. While I think XI is the better game overall my nostalgia for III will never be beat.
3 for me too because I loved that you could build your own town. Then the monster hunting and monster arena were such a great side distraction.
And, of course, the companions, jobs etc.

Would Square Enix really offer this game for free? Especially considering how much they charge their classic games at a premium on various digital stores
