"In a recent hands-on preview, OnlySP played a demo of the upcoming 3D platformer, and the experience was a mixture of comical, refreshing, and reminiscent of Super Mario predecessors dating back to the Nintendo 64. The game is looking to offer an interesting playthrough, but is not likely to redefine 3D platform video games. While Nintendo does appear to be improving upon already-entertaining forebears, the company will need to dig deeper if Mario’s latest journey is to outshine previous installments."

Another new first-party Nintendo Switch game sale is happening, including Super Mario Odyssey, Donkey Kong, Luigi's Mansion 2 HD, and more.
..It's America again. Articles a waste of time for the rest of the world.

NE: "More than eight years later, we take a look at Super Mario Odyssey and see how it holds up now that it's on Nintendo Switch 2."
I bought the switch 1 Mario odyssey bundle when it came out. Good thing Nintendo didn't charge for the switch 2 upgrade.

NE: "Our Super Mario Odyssey vs. Donkey Kong Bananza analysis goes over various points in both games to decide which one comes out on top."
Donkey Kong is an average game. Mario Kart is now neutered and watered down. I'm hoping Metroid is at least above average.
i wouldnt compare these games at all.
but, having played both, Odyssey is the better game.
"Not likely to redefine 3D platform games." Well it has only been 21 years since mario 64 came out. I don't know what else there is to do from a creative stand point?
I will say this Galaxy did look more innovative, but this game looks incredible in its own right. Pretty much a must buy game if you own a Switch.
