With the release of Destiny 2 not that far away, Anson Chan ponders whether the inclusion of PvP multiplayer in the game is more trouble than its worth.

PlayStation has scaled back expectations for Bungie after reassessing Destiny 2 development costs, highlighting the risks tied to live-service games.
Honestly Thank Goodness!! Yet another good sign of a possibility of returning to what made them great and undoing Jim Tyans trend chasing love service gamble. Still gotta wait and see just what direction they're going but this is a good sign in my book that they're not betting it all on live service anymore
It may take a while but maybe they are finally learning. Good! Now stop with the live service crap.
They say this and then immediately release news of the Horizons co-op game that will definitely be a Live Service game.

Patch notes for Update 9.5.0.5, the one about Equilibrium fixes and more, are now available.

A new survey shows Destiny 2 is considering adding Sparrow Racing League, unvaulted campaigns, NPC sidekicks, new PvP and Gambit modes, and much more.
The first Destiny had PVP it was a big post game thing to do, why would they exclude it from the second? I'm more concerned after the Beta that they are pushing the PVP more than the story and strikes/raids that people are actually buying the game for.
I don't play PvP, but what the hell is this guy talking about? Does he not realize how many people play it?
It's never bad to have other modes to play BUT like it has been said since D1, it has to be made separately so they can balance weapons in PvP all they want not impacting PvE.
PVP is the real end game of Destiny. It ain't going no where. Raids? For what purpose you grind for that gear, to look good to your friends? Want them to whistle at you too? For many it all leads to Iron Banner. And lets not forget Trials.
With that said wtf are they smoking? 3yrs and now they want to push for MLG? Too late. They nerfed every class to oblivion. Why do I get my super just as match ends? Or 15secs before it ends? WTF is that about?!
..More like, "want". And I can't imagine why people wouldn't want to be able to battle it out in pvp?.. You know.. Considering it's already a game about shooting things?..
It's all there, fully put into the game, right? It's basically the easiet multiplayer concept they could design. Let you shoot at another player instead of a npc.
