Then please explain why there were less units available for the month of May compared to the month of April in North America? Nintendo is TERRIBLE at distribution, always have been. When you only release 200k consoles in North America per month it shows they never did a great job at pre-orders.
Nintendo used to created artificial demand and supply issues all the way back with the original Nes. It's a well-known and undisputed fact in order to get more publicity and make the product seem more desirable. I guarantee this is the same situation. Same for Amiibos and the Nes and the Snes minis..
Nintendo is a terrible corporation and I wish they exited the hardware market while making their games third party for xbox and sony.
I saw a random switch at target the other day. I believe there is a shortage. The one made by Nintendo to build hype. These same people say psvr is hard to find to but there have been some at local electronics store for months
Could you imagine how many units they would have moved already in Japan if they had stock. The money is there Nintendo. Do what you have to do to crank these units out. People want to buy them.
