Operation Mania turns out to be a deeper, more entertaining game than you might expect for 20 bucks. It's nowhere close to as addictive as other casual titles like Peggle or Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords, but it's a decent choice if you're looking for something affordable, a little more action-oriented and don't have a high-powered rig to run something like Crysis Warhead.

Kotaku writes: "Big week for new releases to take advantage of the Labor Day weekend shopping. Tuesday, Tiger Woods gets his Jesus on and Disgaea 3 comes out. Thursday, the highly anticipated Castle Crashers finally arrives on XBLA. And Friday, we have not only The Sims 2: Apartment Life, but also Prison Tycoon. If you rent in San Mateo, don't buy both, one will cover your entire range of experience."

What do you do when you're the doctor and someone comes into your hospital with butterflies in their stomach, water on the knee, and a frog in the throat? Operate of course! Operation Mania is a new twist on Hasbro's classic Operation board game that will be launching soon courtesy of EA's casual games site Pogo.com.

Electronic Arts plans to turn you into a doctor with the release of its newest casual title, Operation Mania, a game which will challenge you to treat and cure the strangest patients suffering from the zaniest diseases (such as butterflies in the stomach or frog in the throat). The
game will be available to be purchased online from EA's casual game site, Pogo, starting this August in America and in the UK, while a retail version is expected to hit game stands in September this year, costing $19.95.
