
Hackers are now claiming to have gotten access to the Nintendo Switch kernel, a critical part of the operating system. If true, this paves the way for homebrew games and pirated games to run on the system.

To clarify their access: They've dumped the kernel, not actually accessed or run code using the kernel (they've stated there has been no code execution). Those are two completely different things. For an example, kernel access was achieved early in the 3DS's life but it still took several years for custom firmware, backups, etc..
who needs a nonexistent eshop when you have roms!!!!!!!!
seeing how I have no online plans for this system, this does seem enticing...
