Big Projects to be played on fing What ??? ...on the most underpowered console of the gen? ....limiting devs to work on 10 year old console technology ? ....i say here we can laugh all together.....
Big projects and small projects are key, Nintendo remember that.
That's a little disappointing if true.
“I think internally they are only really interested in doing the big projects now. Whether that was since Iwata-san passed away or not, I don’t know. But they are less inclined in doing experimental things now, I think.”
I think that in some cases Nintendo has crossed a line that they shouldn't have with experimental ideas with games like Star Fox Zero and Metroid: Federation Force being major culprits.
However Im not sure what to think of the "only interested in big projects now" part. I wouldn't call ARMS a big project game. If anything I would put money on its development budget being smaller than most games.
What smaller experimental games? He isnt talking about the wiiu because that system was a barren wasteland for these games unlike all the shovelware the wii got... It has to agreed that for the first year the switch looks very barebones. Esp for someone that would like some M rated games or AAA 3rd partys.
Does this means they are abandoning the 3DS?
