Either way, whether purchasing the first Samurai Shodown or Samurai Shodown II, you'll be getting an excellent, focused weapons-based fighter for only nine bucks. And the multitude of matches you'll likely end up playing in either one will certainly leave you with some lost time that you yourself will need to make up.

So which video game intros are the greatest of all time? Before I answer this politically explosive question, my definition of “intro” must be clear. I am defining a video game intro as any cinematic segment before or after the title screen that sets up a narrative and/or establishes a tone or theme.
GFB writes: "It's Thursday, which on our new schedule means it's time for the Cosplay Babe of the Week. This week we went with a classic from the Samurai Shodown series from SNK/Playmore. Mina Majikina gets this week's honor and after checking her out I think we can all agree she was a very good choice."
Some of the girls have white hair. But to be honest I would take the chick without the white wig on (One in the pic above). She is FINE!
While many companies would have been content to only make a few minor upgrades here and there and call it a sequel, SNK ignored the "if it's not broke, don't fix it" approach and went all out for their follow-up to Samurai Shodown. The result is one of the best fighting games ever made, and easily the pinnacle of the outstanding Samurai Shodown series. If you love fighting games, this one should be at the top of your Virtual Console wish list. And even if you don't like fighting games, this one's so good it might just make a fighting game fan out of you yet. If you only own one Samurai Shodown title, make sure it's this one.
