If only Gears of War 4 devs cared, and weren't dedicated to being full-on anti-consumer corporate schmucks.

The more people flock to Overwatch, the more competitors like the GoW 4 team (is it People Can Fly or Epic Games?) will have to make better offers to customers, so look forward to that!

I agree that most devs' offerings are just short of robbery, the Call of Duty makers spring to mind. I kinda give DICE (Battlefield 1) a bit of a pass because their upcoming DLC looks genuinely well done and decent value, considering it's just the second of four total DLCs.

Nawh, I think some People Can Fly members may be part of the team, but it's The Coalition, which use to go by the name Black Tusk Studios. Their whole RNG microtransaction ecosystem is a nightmare. The $-option is insanely overpriced, like mostly 10x what seems a fair price for most packs.

Their events are lazy and just regular gamemodes, and only last a weekend for most other than Horde events, unlike Overwatch. They move super slow with fixing minor/major issues, and seem to be pretty incompetent as devs, atleast the post-launch dev team so far.

A good example is their excuse for not having a ranked leaderboards/stats page in-game, "it's too much UI work"???!!?? LOL, they seriously said that. Although they've had a leaderboards/stats page in-game for Social and Horde since day 1.

The one thing they started fixing is the lack of voice lines for characters, since they borrow so many lines and seem so lifeless, yet they still haven't added a staple to the game that should have been there day 1, Faction Leaders talking to us at match/round beginning/endings.

Anti-Consumerisim, Inconsistency and Incompetence seem to be the key words with The Coalition on Gears 4 so far.

I like Blizzard, they give away maps for nada as well, which is virtually unheard of. I was a cynic at the start but now I really understand why they gave Overwatch so many awards, they really do put in the effort with it.

The ONLY thing I think this game needs is a Soldier 76 alteration (not a nerf, per se). The cooldown timer on his health is way to short...or maybe they could slow how fast it heals, it makes him virtually invincible. Also, his gun's range is still absurd. He can tap-fire a Widowmaker from across the map. He would still shred through most enemies at close-mid range, which would be fair.

Nintendo Switch 2 Drops Must-Play Free FPS You Can Enjoy From Today

In 2023, developed by Blizzard Entertainment, Overwatch 2 was released, which was basically a big, glorified update of the original game that launched in 2016. Now, it’s simply reverted to being called just Overwatch, which is probably for the best.

The second iteration of Overwatch was released on the original Nintendo Switch, and while it’s still an enjoyable game with cross-play/progression functions, it’s still lacking in terms of performance and visuals, compared to its PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S counterparts. Well, it was.

As of today, the second iteration of Overwatch is natively available on the Nintendo Switch 2, just in time for Season 2: Summit.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Overwatch will have increased resolution both in handheld and docked modes, enhanced textures and lighting, up to 60 frames-per second, improved audio and more.

Blizzard is readying a patch to address the issue that the game is still running in Switch 1 build and just 30 fps.

Neonridr32d ago

you'd think they'd test it before pushing it live, lol.

that being said, clearly it's not running as intended.

repsahj32d ago

They know it for sure. Maybe they didn't finish optimizing the game by the targeted release date. That's why they released the Switch 1 30fps version first. XD
