I'm not quite sure about that one, because I felt like it was a very mixed bag really. Furthermore, MS didn't show any games that could use the full potential of the Xbox One X.

The lack of frame rate is the biggest disappointment. Without 60 FPS there's virtually zero difference between the Pro and the Box One X.

Everybody is saying there isn't any reason to buy the X. Phil has stated numerous times that it isn't for everybody. It's for console gamers who want better graphics. I do 95% of my gaming on PC so I know games will look better on PC, but often we get crappy ports or no version at all. I haven't played any Ubi or EA games in years because I don't want achievements spread out across 5 different systems. Steam, PSN, and Live are enough. I would play more console games if the systems could produce steady framerates and resolutions. Scorpio may solve that.

I don't think it was as bad as people are making out. Yes it wasn't as good as it could have been. Have MS learnt not to show games which are no where near completion and then have to show then for the next 3 E3's (crack down, sea of thieves, cuphead....) maybe. Personally I was hoping for a new AAA ip but as i tend to play the AAA multiplats it doesn't bother me too much

It sucked. And sony conference sucked too! Still I'm way more worried about MS, because at least sony has some games on the way

Microsoft could have done everything right and still be wrong on this site and others.

My only complaint toward MS this year is they that they showed too many games!
I understand that MS goal was to reassure peoples that Xbox wasn't lacking in upcoming games (a feeling that lots of ppl have after lacking start this year).
But too much is just like not enough.

As an example, Underground Players Battle Royal is actually the next big thing on PC (the game is still early access but sits in the top 5 games played on Steam with a Minecraft kind of following).
The console reveal should have been treated like a major AAA games, but instead, it was squeezed in with many gamers having the feeling of another small game coming instead of the new Minecraft phenomenon.

In the end, the feeling is that MS failed to bring a Killer game, Perhaps Metro, Ashen, Darwin project, Code Vein or Anthem could have been the talk of the town (just like Spiderman is currently) but it's hard to be the talk of the town when you feel like being another profile on Tinder beeing quickly swiped in favor of a new one.

Looking at both Sony and Microsoft conference I kinda feel like I wasted my time to be honest. Don't get me wrong they both had their moments just I don't feel it was enough to justify me watching their entire conferences. I probably would have been more shocked by the announcement by coming here and watching the news come in as to watching it as it happened. They both left me wanting more. If this was a fight no matter who think won, it feels like it was a split decision when it should have been a knockout.

Don't see how this year is different from most. Overhype/downplay by the fanboys and select games from both big camps surely appeal to the impartial.

Once you've been through this year in year out you eventually get your expectations in check and just pay attention to the things that appealed to you. For me, both offered some good looking games, not sure what more I can (realistically) of hoped for.

Microsoft has no magic, it's almost like the dodgy carsales man who will do anything just to get that sale.

MS was better than Sony this year.

I don't know if it becuase Sony didn't stream in 4k and ms did. But after watching MS it felt like Sony was last gen/ this gen and MS seemed like a new gen.

Sony games looked good but couldn't help notice things were a bit blurry compared to what was being shown at MS. Especially days fines a lot of the trees in the background the bark on the trees looked blurry.

Doesn't meant it's less fun or won't have amazing gameplay but just and observation. One x is undercover next gen system! Graphical difference are clear and apparent.

Game wise was below average. Zero big exclusive And no trailer of future games. Crack was really down...

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.

Is this like the 10th quarter in a row they're down 33% on hardware how is that even mathematically possible. You would think their mediocrity would Plateau
