Looks to me like new Far Cry Game has to do with a religious cult fantasy and not some "white extremism"..... If you watch the trailer the preacher appears to have "converted" people from different ethnic family histories and "not" by the color of their skin....

That said..... In my opinion, Grand theft Auto series has already done far worse to offend and push the limits of prejudice, racism, and sexism in video games than Far Cry Series ever did. The difference.... Rockstar was actually trying to be controversial by creating the game on purpose using comedy/satire as their free pass to publish such content. Whether that was right or wrong is for another forum/discussion but Rockstar did what they did in Grand theft Auto series and everyone knows it is "FANTASY". Yes, there are real people who do not like how ethnic and sexes are portrayed in Grand Theft Auto but ......

... why is everyone making a "BiG" issue about a game that " HAS NOT" released yet.... Why are people so hyped up over a trailer that is "LESS" controversial than many games already out made by other publishers (some even American based, some foreign (Japanese have a few controversial under their belt as well (Far Cry Series as of lately is developed at Ubisoft Montreal: a French owned company). Some of these games have been so popular in the past that some have had many sequels....

This game in no way offends me. It's shining a light on fanatical groups that legitimately exist, even if this is on the extreme end of outcomes for them. With that said, I feel like there's more people talking about how this isn't offensive than there are people that are offended by it. It seems like people would expect this to stir a bunch of controversy, so they preemptively wrote article about how it's not offensive before check if more than 5 people were offended by it.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.
