On Cryengine, I don't think this game will be optimised properly for any platform. Crytek, the creators of the engine, were actually involved with the development of Homefront last year and it was still somehow an unoptimised mess.

Ju3292d ago

In all fairness, Homefront is the only CryEngine game which actually supports the Pro.

Crytek was originally the developer of Homefront The Revolution but they sold the game to Koch Media in 2014 and Dambuster Studios took over development. Dambuster has ppl from Crytek UK but Dambuster is not a huge and well funded development team. If you honestly think this game was developed by Crytek proper you need to do some research.

Also, if you are using Homefront The Revolution as a barometer for the capabilities of the CryEngine i would rethink that. In fact, i wouldn't use Homefront The Revolution as a barometer for anything other than what happens when a game goes through development hell, switches teams, gets a fraction of the resources it needs, and is pushed out completely unfinished. Homefront The Revolution just had a rough go of it, it had great ideas but wasn't given nearly enough ppl, time, or money after it was essentially dropped by Crytek proper. The game was released as an utter mess, and everyone could see it coming a mile away. Please understand do not use Homefront The Revolution as an example of why CryEngine can't be optimized, bc the game could've used Unreal and it still would've been a mess.

Homefront actually does have a Pro patch and it improves the game. On PS4 Pro Homefront The Revolution will run native 1440p with the HUD/UI/other elements running in native 4K. It also runs at a locked 30fps and includes downsampling and temporal AA. The game is dramatically better on Pro actually, so if Homefront The Revolution which was a disaster of game can have a good Pro patch i'd expect Kingdom Come to be able to have an even better one. Especially considering Homefront released long before Pro and Kingdom Come is being developed with Pro in mind.

@andrewsquall

A least they are supporting the PRO. Another third party studio. You should demand more from Sony first party studio instead of bashing third party studios willing to give Pro owners a game which actually use the console´s resources and power.

As an aside, wasn't this meant to be a PS4 launch title?

sizeofyou3292d ago

Right...cheers. I was thinking of Kingdom Under Fire II. Didn't know it had been released - just not in the "west"...

Horseygamer3292d ago

yes it is check there web site

Relientk773292d ago

I would love to see this game at E3

Maxor3292d ago

LMAO. This game runs like shit on the PC and is a vaporware title. Being optimized for the Pro probably means that it'll reach 24 FPS in the menu.

cartoonx13292d ago

game isnt released yet, cant compare the final with that years old alpha demo.

Allsystemgamer3292d ago

Um. You're basing that off an alpha demo? Are you stupid?

Horseygamer3292d ago (Edited 3292d ago )

any one know when this is released?? skyrim in medieval time

IamTylerDurden13292d ago

It's a first person game i believe.

Cap_Mush_FTW3292d ago (Edited 3292d ago )

nice answer, there. totally what the guy was asking for.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

dveio28d ago

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Jingsing28d ago

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Tanktopmaster9228d ago

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit28d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing28d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9227d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
