Phil writes, "Blaster Master was a 1988 Sunsoft-published NES game that featured gameplay that really showed why that era of gaming was considered the golden age for many gamers. Now, it returns with the help of Mega Man Zero/Azure Striker Gunvolt developer Inti Creates, with Blaster Master Zero. Sporting a new scenario, gameplay updates, and additional content, this blast (...er master) from the past is certainly worth feeling the aftershocks of."
PS4 users will finally be able to enjoy both Blaster Master Zero and Blaster Master Zero 2 soon as announced today by Inti Creates.
A physical edition is also coming for Nintendo Switch as well.
Wish this got a Vita port, still stoked to grab this, it was one of my top reasons for wanting a switch.
Man, I still remember playing the original Blaster Master. Reminded me alot of playing OG Metroid. I really enjoyed exploring the world by vehicle, then hoping out on foot and still having those classic boss battles. Unlocking new abilities and being able to revisit old areas and finally being able to access them. Games like this is what made me fall in love with gaming as a kid.
Two awesome games. Hope they announce a 3rd entry soon. I liked where 2 was going and what to see what they come up with next.

Inti Creates has a lot going on these days. Between Gunvolt, Blaster Master Zero, and Dragon Marked for Death, in a way there’s something for everyone.

Limited Run Gamesr announced a physical run of the Inti Creates developed action platformer Blaster Master Zero on Nintendo Switch in 2019.
