There are just certain genres that need solid titles for a console to be competitive. Fighting games were notably missing from the PS3's launch lineup last year, but Sony's console is about to come back in a big way. Sega has announced that Virtua Fighter 5 for the PS3 has gone gold and will be available on store shelves in North America starting February 20th. The famed Virtua Fighter series will surely turn some heads towards the PS3's direction.

SEGA has unveiled its lineup for the upcoming Tokyo Game Show 2025, confirming a mix of anticipated releases and a surprising tease of four unannounced projects.
Panzer Dragoon Saga HD ?? Shining Force 4 or 3 hd ?? Phantasy Star V ??..................
jet Set Radio, Gunvalkyrie, Otogi, please let it be. Jetset is by far the most realistic one to show up. One can hope for the other 2.
SEGA's game catalogue has been a bit naff after the Xbox 360 and PS4. Stop those Mega Drive/Genesis collections and move onto arcade classics, some which never got released on consoles. Not sure what's happened to the new Crazy Taxi and Golden Axe etc., but the likes of Virtua Racing, Super Hang On, ESWAT and maybe even Alien Storm are due sequels.
Persona 6 and Skies of Arcadia remaster/port please, there's heaps you could surprise me with, and I'd probably be happy with it.

Plus celebrate Sonic’s 30th anniversary with a trio of titles: Sonic Mania, Team Sonic Racing and Sonic Forces.

Although fighting games are entering a new Golden Age, there's a number of franchises that deserve to be brought back.
I think licensing is one of the major reasons Fight for NY hasn't been ported, since its original release. Def Jam had a poll on their Twitter a year or two ago asking if people would be interested in a new entry to the series. A surprise next gen release with AKI developing it would be cool
Definitely yes to Weaponlord, Bloody Roar, Rival Schools, Power Stone, Bushido Blade, Darkstalkers, and the Def Jam games. I was really big into fighting games when I was younger. I would Like Primal Rage, B.A,T., and Eternal Champions to come back as well.
according to: http://www.joystiq.com/2007... unfortunately, it lacks online support. damn it! kinda piss me off when fighting game franchise does this now. what's the point of owning this game when we can't even challenge each other online?
there might be hope for VF5 when it comes out for the 360 later this summer.
I've never liked virtua fighter...
