PC players will apparently be able to take advantage of "meaningful" dedicated features in Destiny 2, while other Activision studios will help with post-launch content.

PlayStation has scaled back expectations for Bungie after reassessing Destiny 2 development costs, highlighting the risks tied to live-service games.
Honestly Thank Goodness!! Yet another good sign of a possibility of returning to what made them great and undoing Jim Tyans trend chasing love service gamble. Still gotta wait and see just what direction they're going but this is a good sign in my book that they're not betting it all on live service anymore

You mean like how the premise of Destiny 2 basically wipes out everything accomplished in the 1st?
All I ask for is dedicated servers, the player count is high enough to warrant them. And now with PC also getting it, the player count will increase - or at least cover PS3 and 360.
cross platform would be cool.
I just want dedicated servers
Dedicated servers or forget it. I don't play any multiplayer game that doesn't have them. P2P connections are archaic and totally unacceptable in this era of gaming. If Rocket League can have dedicated servers, then there's no excuse for any other game.
Destiny multiplayer was a laggy mess most of the time, which quickly killed off any interest myself and my friends had in the game. That, combined with constant connection drop outs in the middle of raids, monotonous and repetitive gameplay, and a complete lack of in-game narrative (most of it was hidden within the Grimoire), means I am highly suspicious of the sequel.
