just image that for the last 3 generations that xbox gamers have been paying for xbox live, and all they have is a new system and no real exclusive picks in the coming future save 5 games, 4 which will be sequels.

Guess what moldy, just because one of the xbox versions will have 4k doesn't make the xbox version superior. it is still the same game that can be played on an xbox one or one s, so no 4k textures for those. are you nwo insulting your fellow xbox gamers who cant afford the scorpio by calling it the more inferior version to the playstation 4 version....

Please conmtinue to just emphasize exclusives too as the PS4 install base keeps proving you wrong as they continue to buy multiplat games in droves adn make up the bulk of software sales. Ms spent 2 billion on minecraft, but the difference is it wasn't because they wanted it on Xbox.
Minecraft was purchased through Microsoft corperation because they wanted it to be a part of their PC/Windows 10 plan, as well as bring out the educational version of Minecraft.

GTA on the other hand would have to be paid through the xbox Division if they wanted to get some sort of rights to it, afterall they cant exactly sell GTA6 as educational to schools

Well if Microsoft always offers more than Sony then why did Sony get the marketing deal for Read Dead Redemption?

But the truth is we don't know the details of these marketing deals. Maybe Microsoft did offer more than Sony but not enough to make up for Sony's larger install base. It's not like the Xbox division has access to all of Microsofts money. They have a budget to follow and maybe marketing deals are not their priority right now.

We don't know if Microsoft even made an offer. Maybe they didn't. Never said Sony doesn't do a good job marketing. Don't be so insecure.

It'll sell crazy on XB1/Scorpio as well. The first game did. I'm sure it will sell millions on both platforms which is what Take-Two/Rockstar wants.

News flash... 900p is inferior to 1080p just like sub 4K is inferior to 4K. You are right about one thing though, I haven't complained about XB1 not having the best graphics because I play games, not graphics. The issue here is about R* not being able to show off their best work by showing the game on Scorpio because Sony wants to pay to market the game instead.

It's not like it's gonna look a whole different either way so why not go with the larger audience.

There are reasons why exclusive marketing deals are important and one of them is to dupe the casuals into thinking that the game is exclusive to one platform.

Master C, every commercial still shows what systems a game is available on. Sony pays to have their logo plastered on certain 3rd party games at the beginning of their commericals, so people who are dumb won't notice that it's also on XB1, PC, etc. But hey, at least you admit that Sony is catering to the unintelligent, which means you inadvertently admitted that Sony likes stupid gamers!

Microsoft does as well. Just look at how they structure many of their Xbox One commercials. Ignorant casuals are the biggest market so it's normal for Microsoft and Sony to go after them.

When Xbox got the ROTR TIMED exclusive deal the xbox fanboys were cool with it and now they can't digest the fact that most third party MARKETING deal is with Playstation... The amount of double standard from few xbox fanboys are amazing...

It's pathetic the conversation needs to shift back to games and gaming choose the platform you want to play the games on and leave it at that, then us as gamers should hold devs/pubs responsible
