A new FarCry television series has been announced.
I wonder if they'll go way back to where the story started w/ weird animal-like genetic mutations. I don't think the current games even try to tie back to that origin, or at least I don't see any attempt to...
I think this series should feel like an Anthology like the games. Every season a new setting with new set of characters.
Speaking on stage at Saudi Arabia’s New Global Sport Conference (covered by Game File), CEO Yves Guillemot was asked about the future of the shooter series, which recently fell under the control of a new Tencent-backed subsidiary.
Currently playing FC4 for the first time. On the plus side, the 60fps update is great. On the down side, the multiplayer is the weakest part. Just chatting in the lobbies, ppl were only doing it for the online trophies. I don’t know that anybody really wants more of that.
This is interesting news for comic and Far Cry fans as something new in the universe for the game is always welcome. I think it is the trend. They look around and say ok; what can be done that will not infringe upon the next game and this is what happens. I heard rumors of the next Far Cry offering may be in Alaska and there was also an Online offering coming. So we get this to tide us over.

Far cry 3 is my personal favorite, I could not stop playing it. So my order would be 3, primal, 2, 4, 1.
Blood Dragon was the best one. Great style and the game works great in a smaller package.
What i have played and system in order of like: FC3-PS3, FC4-PS3, FC1-PS3, FC Primal-PS4, FC2-PS3.
For me FC3 is in my top 5 of last gen games, and top 10 overall. FC3 also more than made me forget about how good FC2 could have been. FC4 is more FC3 fun and the classic FC1 is enjoyable. Primal has some fun and interesting play. However on my PS4 i do not like the graphics of Primal. God rays, haze, and orange lighting are too often overdone and just ruin the image.
