"We Doubled Our Thoroughness," Prey Dev Says After Dishonored 2's PC Issues

Speaking with GameSpot today, Arkane president Raphael Colantonio said the team at Arkane Austin (Dishonored 2 was made by Arkane Lyon) has "doubled [its] thoroughness] as it relates to testing. He also pointed out that many games, including Prey, are developed with PC as the primary platform.

The character design is similar, I'll give you that, but that's what Arkane is famous for. I'm curious to why they keep making poor decisions when it comes to engines though. For Dishonored 2 they used a version of idTech that wasn't complete yet and now Cryengine? That one engine that magnificently blows on consoles?

I mean, Cryengine is better than Void for sure. But still... Why not UE4?

I have my doubts the only reason Dishonored 1 was a success on PC was because it used Unreal Engine 3, Dishonored 2 used a modified shit tech engine and it's been proven that the shit tech engine only works when done by id the same goes for the Cryengine when it's done by Crytek. Sigh why couldn't the devs be allowed to use UE4?
