Back on topic, Nintendo needs to answer all developers in a timely manner. Their relationship with third parties has always been strained at best. They don't realize this isn't the 80's anymore.

I thought NINTENDO was trying to build good relations with 3rd party developers this time . This is a another step backwards with 3rd party developers.

It's because it's too close to being a new Metroid game, and we all know Nintendo is allergic to Metroid.

If it was not for some in my opinion "must play" titles i would put Nintendo on almost the top of my shit list.

This screams of illogicality, are they trying to keep the Wii U distinct from the Switch? Mk8 kinda destroys that notion.

Axiom Verge is a great game, you'd think with the lack of games on Switch right now they'd welcome as many great games as possible. I guess this is just NIntendo being Nintendo.

If they're not allowing the game to go on the Switch, perhaps they've got a Metroid game in the making.

I was told the game was masterpiece. Sorry but Axiom Verge is far from masterpiece. It's got no directions at all...just more and more random looking levels that make no sense whatsoever, making the upgrades in weapon seem meaningless. The combat is ok..It's turd compared to Metroid and Nintendo knows it...ah and on with the disagrees :D

Calling Nintendo douches is going a bit too far but I do have to admit Ninty is doing alot of the things that are very anti consumer with the Switch, hopefully they don't let the launch success of the Switch give them a big head and deal with the repercussions later like they did with the Wii.

So, a development team who employed an ex-Nintendo employee (who left Nintendo because he went off message and violated their internal policies) makes a Metroid "inspired" game, submits it to Nintendo's indie quality assurance programme during its most busy time and complains that they're taking too long?

Perhaps if it had less bugs it'd be easier to pass through QA.

It's the same story from indies. They're used to submitting apps to Apple or Google who don't even check that the damn software functions before asking customers for money. When they go to a platform holder that actually cares about the consumer experience they can't understand why it takes time and work.

The solution is clear. Make less promises to gamers early on in the development process. Find a better way of making money than asking Kickstarter users, so that you don't have to put your entire plan out there for the world to see 9 years before it's ready. And actually learn how to code properly to compensate for ALL the platforms you want to release on: don't just assume that because it's good enough for PlayStation that means its good enough for Nintendo. PS4 users generally are "okay" to be told to "wait for an update to fix an error". If we're all to believe that Nintendo's core audience are families/children, they're not going to understand why a bug renders their game unplayable. Besides, customers deserve a highly polished product anyway. We shouldn't all be "okay" to accept that the game is broken until an update happens.

My whole point here is that there's always devs lashing out publicly like this and it's fine. It's human. But gamers don't understand it and media will play off these loud mouth comments to make something look worse than it is. The developer may be annoyed at the process, but that doesn't mean the process is bad, or flawed, or wrong.

Whoa, after playing blaster Master, I would love to buy Axiom verge again to experience it on switch. Games like this are a no brainer and a yet Nintendo still doesnt get it.
