Wildlands is what The Division should have been gameplay wise

BlacKJesu53307d ago

No...division gameplay on wildlands map with wildlands gun selection

OoglyBoogly3307d ago

I agree. Having recently played The Division after a long stent with Wildlands, I think The Division's controls and game play are just better. Animations and movement is more solid. Environmental traversal just feels more natural.

Yeah, Wildlands has a ton of aspects that I wish The Division had, naturally.

? No.

Both are just different games.

Wildlands isn't The Division, The Division isn't Wildlands.

One is a MMO RPG, the other is a co-op squad based shooter (either live person or NPC)

Stop.

They are not the same, they are not made by the same teams.

You might as well say Mario Kart and Gran Turismo are the same because you race stuff in both.

Do people still play The Division? How is it these days? That game had so much potential but it lacked so much....

Lennoxb633307d ago

I still play it. They've improved the loot system ten fold.

_-EDMIX-_3307d ago

I don't know what I can say it lacked as I don;t' know what the team planned for the game or if The Division as it is currently is what they always intended it to be etc.

What would you add based on this idea that it lacked stuff?

I mean, I love Fallout series, but I'm not sure The Division was made to be sorta like that (could be but who knows).

I still see people playing it on PSN from time to time.

It lacked a good variety of weapons. Instead it settled on about 5 or 6 guns for each gun class and then just added different stats to them to make them "different".

Its customization was definitely lacking, as the only gear you got were coats and beanies and weird stuff like that. Everyone really looked the same just with different color jackets, hats, and pants. I mean, you and your team would sit there fighting off tons of enemies and their high level "boss" and only get rewarded with a new jacket, or something. Clothing didn't add stats either. They were simply cosmetic.

It lacked enemy variety. All the enemies were just dude with guns. Even the "bosses" were just tougher bullet sponge versions of regular enemies.

It lacked any real mission variety as the only types of missions were fetch missions.

And then there's the Dark Zone.... The Dark Zone was a joke. It advertised the idea of "going rogue" and killing other players to take their gear, but by doing that it punished the hell out of you if you killed another player then got killed yourself. Also, if you killed another player, it alerted everyone im the Dark Zone that there is a rogue agent and they would all hunt you down. If you died as a rogue, it basically punished you so harshly that it basically removed about 4 hours worth of grinding in points. Also, the balance in the dark zone was a joke as well. If someone was higher level than you, you basically couldn't hurt them. You could, but it did such little damage that it didn't matter. They made going rogue something that you should never attempt, which is silly because it was the main selling point of the Dark Zone.

I stopped playing when they nerfed my alphabridge gear set. Ubi screwed up hours of work grinding for the weapons I wanted to get the stat boosts I wanted. I've been playing Wildlands since and haven't looked back.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Jingsing14d ago

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Tanktopmaster9214d ago

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit14d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing14d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9214d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
