"The first Star Wars Battlefront was a solid game"

Stopped reading right there.

Goldby3323d ago

ever consider he may have been speaking about the original battlefront, not the reboot

ZeekQuattro3323d ago

Clearly he was talking about the Battlefront EA. "The first Star Wars Battlefront was a solid game, it was definitely missing some aspects and DICE knew that when working on the sequel."

This is the problem with gaming journalism. They buy into everything publishers say than use their platform to create hype

Gamers think it's gonna be the best yet it turns out to be a lot of empty promises

That's why it's very hard to take reviews serious most journalists are fanboys of some game abs can't hide their biased opinion

Last time battlefront sold on star wars name this time EA is trying to create the hype once more just like Activision is doing with destiny 2

Having a single player is different from Gabi G good single player content

Thunder_G0d_Bane3323d ago

Agreed. Just taking what publishers or devs say is very foolish.

They need to show gameplay and stop talking.

Having singleplayer doesnt automatically make it a good game lool

? Yet some of you guys had no problem when journalist were calling out the original Battlefront for not having a single player and deeming it a bad game.....

So the original Battlefront was lacking in content because it didn't have a single player, but Battlefront 2 isn't automatically good because it has a single player....

So basically damned-if-you-do damned-if-you-don't?

no sir it didn't have enough content in general. online only games can work look at rainbow six and overwatch but you have to deliver content. If you wanted all the content it would cost upwards of $100 with original battlefront

EA had just got the license of star wars IP and wanted to cash on the movie hype so the game sold well but than number of players playing dropped by a huge margin within first few months

"Gamers think it's gonna be the best yet it turns out to be a lot of empty promises"

I guess, but smart gamers know exactly what is marketing and what is genuine hands on impressions from respectable sources like ACG or Giant Bomb.

Derceto3323d ago

Maybe it is. Doesn't excuse Battlefront. Only the colossal tidal wave of Star Wars brain dead fans could make such an insult of a package successful.

CoD fans better watch their backs. SW fans are on their heels for the dumbest fan base on the planet.

Who is the smartest?

I'm not entirely sure why you started associating intellect with the subjective purchase of video games.

There is no right or wrong

there is no smart or dumb

So you're going to tell somebody else what a "smart" decision is in regards to video games they should purchase? So what happened to their own free will?

I understand that some of you guys may not like a video game or a company that's completely fine but please stop crossing the line and attacking consumers simply for liking games that you don't it is beyond disrespectful and absolutely ridiculous.

What is your solution to this concept that you perceive to be a problem?
