I don't think it affects them or him at the present moment but I don't think he could ever work in gaming journalism anymore. I only say that because after being on a major publishers payroll, if questions of integrity would come up.

They at least disclose it, so that's something.

For those who knew him, they are more than likely excited because this is an awesome opportunity. It won't affect how they view the game, if the drop the ball with the story then it will be reflected in the review.
