Definitely but you think Sega will delay Sonic Forces now? Personally, I don't see them releasing two Sonic games a couple months apart if Sonic Forces is still slated for a holiday release.

It's disappointing, but at least you know Sega is taking care of things. Sonic's name has been dragged through the mud for too long. Here's hoping this game fixes that.

No one likes delays. But better this than the Mass Effect: Andromeda example where the game is released on time, but is negatively impacted by the need for further quality assurance.

Because it's been delayed for a few months ? I would rather have a game delayed than get released a mess. Mass Effect: Andromeda would have benefited from being delayed.

@_-EDMIX-_ Firstly you make very little to NO sense in your arguments, first you say you agree that EA should have delayed it AGAIN to make it a better game, yet in the next comment you argue that delaying is for fixing and polishing a game, right? but you fail to acknowledge that ME:Andromeda WAS delayed multiple times and it was still a turd. Delaying a game actually has many different factors and it doesn't always have to do with making the game BETTER.

I can name numerous games that had numerous delays and were still shit, so KwietStorm is completely correct saying delaying a game does not inherently make it better or "Fixed". Sometimes no amount of delays will fix a crappy game and thus it becomes a cash dump.

I don't follow Nintendo related news much, but It's impossible to not hear about Sonic Mania.

What are you talking about? The game being announced? The game was announced like mid last yearish I'd say. It's pretty shocking you didn't hear of it seeing it's been all over every gaming sites YouTube and on n4g.com quite alot

You would have thought it would have been a no-brainer!

My theory is that Sonic Team were kind of annoyed how well received Mania was despite all their efforts in the past of doing a good Sonic game…it took a fan team to do it. Even the soundtrack is glorious.

So instead of doing Mania 2 they thought “nah we can do it better, let’s do Superstars…but let’s add something unnecessary like try to make it a a co-op game like the 2D Mario games since we can’t help ourselves”.

The dev team wanted to make their own original game, and they created Penny's Big Breakaway, which seems to have garnered a fair amount of praise. I have yet to play it though.

Nothing wrong with putting Generations over Mania. Generations had a lot more to it. Mania was just a bit too short, despite how amazing it was. They're both top-tier Sonic games though.

The 8 bit games were pretty bad overall do you mean the 16 bit ones

Even as a Sonic fan, I didn't really care for those games, and getting the Chaos Emeralds were freakin' horrible. Even with an emulator and save states, I didn't have the desire to try. I also didn't like most of the levels or bosses either. Unfortunately, DiMPs aren't good at making Sonic games.
