Battlefront 2 may have microtransactions

TweakTown's gaming editor Derek Strickland writes:

"The Microsoft Store says Battlefront 2 contains 'in-app purchases,' strongly hinting microtransactions are included.

"DICE has already confirmed Battlefront 2 won't have a season pass, so a push towards microtransactions and in-game purchases certainly makes a lot of sense."

Yup, microtransactions replaced season pass.

Who cares? The comments made Regarding why the season passed was not added had a lot to do with not fragmenting the community and locking them out of content that would hurt the game.

This likely means that any microtransactions might be cosmetic and overall irrelevant to the core experience.

You would have to consider I see no point to them saying they don't want to see the community locked out of content to only lock the community out of content and actually doesn't make any sense so I'm actually doubtful that the microtransaction is going to do exactly what they stated they didn't want to do in the first place.

Remember the days when you could just play a game and earn everything in the game instead of needing to buy it with real money separately ? yeah, i miss those days too.

Like how you could just play regular Street Fighter hard enough to get the characters in Super Street Fighter ....Oh wait
