C'mon capcom and Sony Give it to us!!!!! That demo where a group of players is fighting a dragon is sick

Patriot4Life3331d ago

Was hype about this game until i heard that it was F2P.

Not a big fan of F2P games.

Majin-vegeta3331d ago

I doubt at this point it's even F2P anymore.Im guessing it will be a full retail $60.Cuz wht take so long to release it?

fenome3331d ago

I'm hoping they're going to show a new reveal for it at E3 where they scrap the F2P model. It looked like it had a lot of potential from what they showed before. It was sick when they showed the fight with the dragon and used magic to stop time.

xX-oldboy-Xx3331d ago

They copped a fair bit of heat when they announced F2P, they may have reconsidered that decision. With F2P it can be hit and miss, I'm with you in that I'd like a full priced game. Hoping for a re-reveal at E3.

thekhurg3331d ago

It's vaporware. Will be the next Duke Nukem if it ever does see the light of day.

DaDrunkenJester3331d ago

@fenome

Yeah it was sick, but too bad it was pre rendered... no way the game is going to look that damn good in the final game.

fenome3331d ago

@DaDrunkenJester

It wasn't pre-rendered, they were playing it. There's no reason it can't look that good, it's just like how photo mode stops time along with all the effects except you get to run around in it.

I love hitting photo mode in games just to pan around and check everything out from different angles while time is stopped, it's badass.

sampson31213331d ago

there are games that do it right. War Thunder to name one off the top of my head.

Silly gameAr3331d ago

Same here. If it's still free to play I'm honestly not as interested, though, Let It Die isn't bad for F2P.

bloop3331d ago

This was my most anticipated game after the PS4 reveal but when they announced it was f2p and that it's all procedurally generated it buried my hype for good. That trailer was mind blowing. I thought it was going to be an action rpg like W3/Horizon. Such a shame.

IGiveHugs2NakedWomen3331d ago

Agreed. Why even make the game F2P? Just make the game for $60 and add new areas/enemies in the form of DLC? I don't mind paying for that type of DLC instead of the nickel and diming model of F2P microtransactions

conanlifts3331d ago

Hopefully a full game now. F2P is never a good idea.

badz1493331d ago (Edited 3331d ago )

this game would have already been released if only Capcom have let Sony and Studio Japan be more involved in the project but they decided not to let Sony interfere. I guess they want to keep it as theirs and prevent Sony from locking it down it as their 3rd party exclusive IP like they did with Demon's Souls and Bloodborne.

but what good does that do for them, though? it's beyond ridiculous now. how much longer is the game going to take for development? even RE7 which were knew nothing about when Deep Down was announced was already released. what gives, Capcom?

TWB3330d ago

Yeah, at this point they probably have scrapped the F2P model, and maybe even reworked the whole game considering how much time has passed.

Maybe they have even taken a few notes from Dark Souls, but concentrated on dungeon cravling and coopping. It would be a good marketing decision seeing how the series has ended. Good time to tap on that market.

If the Last Guardian came out 10 years later I'm sure this game will release someday

Dragons Dogma Deep Down? I would buy a PS4 just for this exclusive.

XanderZane3331d ago

That pretty much happens every day in World of Warcraft. I was interested in the game because I thought it would be similar to Dragon's Dogma, which still doesn't have a true sequel. Now I don't know what to make of Deep Down. Maybe we will learn more at the E3.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

dveio29d ago

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Jingsing29d ago

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Tanktopmaster9229d ago

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit29d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing29d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9229d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse

To be fair, there are also human made games that release and lack any fun at all either.

jznrpg32d ago

But all of the great games have been made by humans

jwillj2k432d ago

One is by choice, the other is a feature.

PRIMORDUS32d ago

Guild Wars 2 been playing for 14yrs, 1st beta. This is just one company I support, Arenanet and NCSoft, even though I torrent, there are a few PC companies I will buy from. "PlayStation’s Horizon MMO spin-off, Horizon Steel Frontiers." I feel this will be good, NCSoft is a good developer/publisher.

CrimsonWing6931d ago

It’s a tool. Use it elevate things and get it done faster. I’m sorry but not every game made by humans is good. If this can help things, then I fully embrace it.
