Gary Swaby at The Koalition writes: Overwatch is a popular game, and has even been awarded Game of the Year for 2016 from a number of publications. Beyond just being a fun game, Overwatch also has a strong eSports community. There’s also the competitive mode that allows for a more serious level of gameplay for those who wish to stay with the game in the long-term.
But how do you know when you’re ready to take it up a notch? Well that usually comes once you understand the capabilities of each character and how to utilize them in in situations. With that in mind, I’ve decided to compile this list Overwatch tips for every character.
In 2023, developed by Blizzard Entertainment, Overwatch 2 was released, which was basically a big, glorified update of the original game that launched in 2016. Now, it’s simply reverted to being called just Overwatch, which is probably for the best.
The second iteration of Overwatch was released on the original Nintendo Switch, and while it’s still an enjoyable game with cross-play/progression functions, it’s still lacking in terms of performance and visuals, compared to its PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S counterparts. Well, it was.
As of today, the second iteration of Overwatch is natively available on the Nintendo Switch 2, just in time for Season 2: Summit.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Overwatch will have increased resolution both in handheld and docked modes, enhanced textures and lighting, up to 60 frames-per second, improved audio and more.
Blizzard is readying a patch to address the issue that the game is still running in Switch 1 build and just 30 fps.

Nexon has entered a publishing agreement with Blizzard for Overwatch in Korea, with the companies working to deliver services 'tailored' for the region.
The four-part Blizzard Showcase will reveal “what comes next” for each series…
Damn. The amount of effort that goes into learning each of these characters. Overwhelming it seems. Nice guide!
This is a very helpful guide for those who are trying to learn more about each character. Might be hard to master every character on the roster but I'm more than certain that many would put the time into doing just that.
I think it is best to really practice and use about 6-7 and become master at them than to try to be awesome at all of them, especially as they make subtle changes to different characters every patch, so you need to stick to your 6 or 7 and learn them inside out.
Once you do, you will never be short of picking one you are familiar with, and you will also discover which characters are best on which map, and which work well with other hero's our team selected to give you that small edge.
It is also worth noting that people have different gaming skills and what works really well as a Genji for one player, might not work for another who has slower reflexes or less spatial awareness. I have seen some players wipe out entire teams as Hanzo or Widowmaker with unbelievable skill shots, and yet seen other players go an entire match not getting more than 2 kills. Stick to what you know and what works for you and think about your teammates and how to compliment and support them, using their abilities to boost your own.
I love playing random character matches. Got me real good with a lot of characters.
