Ya considering you still can't find one at retail in the US I don't see how it wouldn't be considered a success.

There's two in my local Walmart right now. There's also people selling theirs back to GameStop and pawn shops, both of which I have personally saw.

I saw two or three on the shelf when I was at target yesterday.
Not that it's a bad thing. Shows they put out a decent supply.

Currently it is. And I hear more people talking about wanting to get one. The holiday 2017 surprise may be Nintendo topping Microsoft.

davand1143321d ago

I think both the switch and ps4/slim will outsell the scorpio. They're cheaper and have big exclusive games coming out this holiday season.

Sold well, but needs more games to justify the cost.

It's very rare for any gaming electronic device to NOT have a successful launch. The Wii U had a great launch. Kinect had a great launch. The Vita had a great launch. The first year will be far more telling of the console's prospects. I believe that between Splatoon 2 (huge IP in Japan), Super Mario Odyssey and the rumored Pokemon game it will pull some good numbers for the first year. I'm already hearing a lot of interest in the Switch from people who I'd never expect to be interested. I already know 3 or 4 people that have bought one who haven't bought a home console since the Wii. It's very possible they will recapture at least some of the Wii's success.

I swore off Nintendo until the Switch, so far I'm loving the Switch and am excited for its future. So it's people like me that Nintendo needs to get back. I believe they are succeeding so far in that area, they just need to keep good games coming.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Jingsing17d ago

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Tanktopmaster9217d ago

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit17d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing17d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9217d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
