The Xbox One Scorpio is a far more radical upgrade than the relatively more conservative PS4 Pro- this has naturally led to discussions regarding which approach is the superior one.
"It was so offensive to me"
Cliff Bleszinski shares thoughts on Gears of War’s PlayStation debut, E-Day, and Microsoft’s Game Pass strategy.

The narrative deduction title is available on Steam, Nintendo Switch, and the App Store for just $7.
As of right now, this is how it looks..
Xbox Scorpio= Superior graphics, lacking in exclusives and or console sellers.
PS4=Great graphics, ton of exclusives.
Looks like the main purpose of the PS4pro was to provide just enough power to deliver the same games in 4K or close to 4K. They made deliberate design decisions to keep it close to the original for ease of optimization
Scorpio- we will have to wait and see. If it's too radically different from Xbox One, someone will probably suffer- either owners of the original getting inferior games or owners of the scorpio complaining games don't exploit the full potential
I have little interest in purchasing a scorpio seeing that pretty much all the console exclusives stuff ends up on Windows. It will be interesting to watch from the sidelines though.
Well After Playing Horizon in 4k after purchasing my Pro and 4k HDR Vizio, I can't wait to see what Scorpio brings! We just have to wait on the CPU announcement before we get too excited... If it has a 6+tflop GPU, 12gb of faster GDDR5 PLUS a decently clocked 8 core CPU then we should expect a noticeable difference between the Pro and Scorpio
They're literally the same thing, neither one is superior to the other in terms of concept.
Microsoft will just finally have more horsepower to work with, but it seems to be a repeat of Xbox vs PS2. Where the PS2 dominated with simpler and weaker hardware as a result of tremendous 3rd and 1st party support. The Pro will be cheaper and its got a really good catalog of games to work with. Just wish more Japanese 3rd party exclusives supported the Pro
