Alex S. from Link-Cable writes: "I have been playing video games since I was just two years old and my grandma bought me an NES. From that point on I knew that I was a gamer and wore that title proudly through the 16-bit wars that were waged in school playgrounds, into the transition to disc-based systems and through the waggle-fest that was the mid-00’s. But through all the changes that the industry’s seen over the years my love for games endured and stayed strong…until this generation rolled around. Maybe I’m crazy but it feels like a lot of the fun has been sucked out of gaming lately, replaced by cookie-cutter games that nickel and dime you to no end. So for today’s article I decided to go on about list off the reason why I think modern gaming sucks."

This actually started last gen. A good idea that was DLC was quickly taken advantage of by devs and they have been ripping games apart and selling games to us in bits and pieces. When i look at games from the past, i often wonder what bits would have been held back and released to us in stages. Map packs, dungeons, weapons, skills, costumes, cars, guns, treasure chests, special attacks. If our favourite games from multiple genres from the past were released today, how much of these things i have listed would be released to us in bits ? You can guarantee that there would be a lot of it.
If you own a Ps4 you would know modern gaming is amazing
Im enjoying the hell out of gaming. The author might be depressed with life
Yeah right. Just this year we've had Yakuza 0, Ni-Oh, Gravity Rush 2, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Horizon Zero Dawn and very soon Persona 5. Sure sucks.
I like the hardware of the modern systems but I enjoy the games of the previous systems more. That all may change one God of War 4 comes out though.
