GamePro: Mega Man 9 Review

Review by Tae K. Kim:

"I'd forgotten how brutally tough old school games could be but Mega Man 9, the new yet decidedly retro game from Capcom, quickly set me straight. A wonderful throwback to the glory days of the NES, Mega Man 9 looks, sounds and plays like the classic Mega Man games of old. But that's definitely a mixed blessing because it's also freaking hard.

THE BOTTOM LINE: Yes, Capcom did a masterful job of recapturing the old school vibe-you'll swear you were back in 1987 when you play this game-but it's so freaking difficult that it's downright discouraging. Still, with its low price and faithfulness to the franchise's roots, it's definitely worth the download."

Oh, whatever! This game is getting 90% across the board. Its politics, man. If they gave this game bad reviews then Capcom and the consumers would think there is no need for 2-d games in our society no more. However, them giving this game high marks, like they did bionic commando and Braid, it simply reenforces the belief that we want more. Lots more.

I'm not saying this game is going to be bad, I haven't played it, but I've played enough Mega Man games to know they're all the same. all of them. This is not a 90% game. There is no innovating here at all. That should factor in somehow and somewhat, shouldn't it? I mean, 10 bucks for this game!!!???

I'm not buying these scores, sorry.

They are factoring in how its a 10 dollar Megaman game, how it holds true to the franchise since its in the Original Megaman Series.
Since this game is a fan game they are basing their reviews off other Megaman games not current games like Gears,or GTA.If you like Megaman this game has it all, gameplay, difficulty not seen in games today, and features that would make a fan happy.
If you dont liek the game then dont buy it but if your a Megaman fan this games delivers.

Xbox Live Deals With Gold and Spotlight Sale Details 3rd-9th July 2018

Neil writes: "Let's be honest - the Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale last week was a bit rubbish. Yeah there were a few titles worth taking a punt on but the vast majority saw non-appealing discounts and the lack of super cheap pocket money games was noticeable.

We can forget about all that now though as the Deals With Gold and Spotlight Sale for 3rd-9th July 2018 is now in place and it is bringing a whole new range of discounts to both Xbox One and Xbox 360 players. Want to check out the full list of games on sale?"

Several of these games have been on GWG, Slime Rancher and Super Mega Baseball 2. Others are on Gamepass. There is an Anime sale going on with up to 75% off. Fifa 18 at just 15quid, although I'll wait until it's in the EA Access Vault and get it for free.
