" On the subject of the game's controversial facial animations, Frazier said "we're looking at patching lots of issues and want to strongly support the game moving forward. I can't say more just yet."

He also addressed Andromeda's character creator, the depth of which has been called into question by players. "Can't promise anything yet," said Frazier, "but we're currently evaluating various options for making it better." He also replied to a separate question on the same topic: "No promises, but I've got it on a list of things we're looking at potentially fixing/adding for character creation." "

In other words, and i'm just paraphrasing, "we ain't got SH*T going on, the game is what it is"

Yup,pretty much. (refunded PC version, another example of poor optimization)

Pantz3340d ago

Sorry BioWare, your SJW Campaign has failed.

_-EDMIX-_3340d ago

LOL

Be like "We looking to patch lots of issues....just not that.....and that....annnnnnd that" lol

GameBoyColor3340d ago

Haha you can do it mr.dev guy

ABBAJESUS3340d ago (Edited 3340d ago )

Drop the price lol

Warshade3340d ago

First thing they can do is separate from EA so I can buy the game on PC without using origin.

TheColbertinator3340d ago

True enough. EA is laughing at me picking it up on launch from Origin.

Dark_Knightmare23340d ago

The hate is so blown out of proportion for this game. Seriously you would think this was the worst game ever made something on the level of aliens colonial marines it's just ridiculous. I'm really enjoying the game which picked up significantly towards the end of the main quest line on eos and since then it's felt like a genuine mass effect game and I can't wait to see where the story goes from here.

Jon615863340d ago

Isn't that the truth
I mean this is what Mass effect should've been about in the first place. Because looking back at the trilogy it really just devolved into save the day type of game which was fine but there wasn't too much exploration after the first one. Don't get me wrong I lived all 3 and played through each 6 times.

Dark_Knightmare2

animations issues
frame rate issues
way too many fetch quests
character creator is weak
main story missions aren't as good
weak characters compared to the original trilogy
weak voice overs and bad lip syncing

no one is hating on the game, it's not a good game at the moment and should have been delayed to 2018

the original trilogy had excellent games besides the ME3 ending

so stop this useless defending of bad practices

this game isn't complete and need atleast 6-9 months of development time which if we are lucky will now turn into patches and if we are unlucky many issues will remain and bioware will move on

dragon age inquisition messed up bioware since they now think quantity of quests should be looked over the quality

arkard3340d ago

Works for Bethesda and those games will millions to critical acclaim. Not shocking an EA owned company would try to copy the formula.

Dark_Knightmare23340d ago (Edited 3340d ago )

Bro your comparing a whole trilogy worth of interacting with characters that we got to know and love to the first game in a new storyline. Besides mass effect 1 barely had anyone besides wrex and garrus that were memorable and andromedas drack and peebee easily hold their own against them. Now to your other points yeah there's animation issues but mass effect 1 also had the same issues, the framerate is problematic in places but nowhere near as bad as the slideshow of mass effect 1 like seriously take off the nostalgia glasses, yes there's too many fetch quests but a lot of the other sidequests are pretty good and even the fetch quests have decent mini stories to them not to mention 1 had its fair share of utterly trite fetch quests on barren and boring planets, can give less than two craps about character creator being less in depth, main story missions are pretty good to me so far and easily on par with the first mass effect, the voice acting is as good for the main characters as any you would find in the og trilogy and male Ryder is way better than male shepherd va wise and lip sync is slightly off but no more than any of the og trilogy games. Im not defending anything I think it's a good game and the start of potentially great new trilogy just because I don't think it's the worst thing to happen to gaming like the internet mob mentality tries to perpetuate doesn't mean I don't have problems with it I do but the good easily outweighs the bad.

How can you compare a more linear story, three games actually to the beginning of a new universe which is centered on exploration? Yeah, it has some issues, but no more glitches than many AAA games.

It's a damn good game and they should be applauded for a lot of the hard work that went into it. We have become so damn entitled. Yeah, we should stay vigilant, but damn!

And my issue with Inquisition was the combat system. It was way too easy and all the work you did to progress was pointless because you could face roll everything. The combat in Mass Effect is great! Easily the best of the series!

Stapleface3340d ago

It's actually a much deeper story and game in general than several other huge rpgs that released recently. It's just getting shit on for technical details. Which really are not bad enough to miss a game of this quality. There is so much to do. Side missions can be meaningful and quite long. The main story isn't bad at all. I totally agree that it really picks up after finishing Eos. The planets are diverse. Crafting system is decent. Combat is fun. (I really like the Explorer profile, with its teleport ability) It's definitely the best Mass Effect game I have played. I missed out on the OT when they first came out but played through them in the past few months. Andromeda is with out a doubt better.

joab7773340d ago

No kidding! I feel bad for those who canceled pre orders or just returned it cuz they bought into some over hyped negative campaign. There's no doubt that a lot of work went into this!

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

dveio17d ago

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Jingsing17d ago

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Tanktopmaster9217d ago

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit17d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing17d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9217d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
