Nintendo Will Fix Your Left Joy-Con Connectivity Issues For Free

After several weeks of insisting that there was nothing wrong with their units, Nintendo has finally fessed up and reported that due to a manufacturing error, some of the left joy-con controllers have some connectivity issues. Nintendo has offered to fix the issue for free with a one week turnaround time.

Finally admit it, were pretty lame holding on.

Yeah it better be free. The law for 1 year manufacturer warranty is there for a reason. And if they didn't there will be a class action lawsuit.
Smarten up nintendo!

Yeah, at least this issue is now solved and remedied. Rather quickly too, less than 3 weeks after launch. Thankfully they didn't wait almost two years like MS.

After my 360 Elite suffered from the RROD and taking their sweet time to acknowledge the issue, I had moved on from their system. Nice to see Nintendo acknowledging and offering to fix the issues.

What's sad is that these people kept taking it from m$ and kept following. Very disturbing trend, just like abusive relationships where the victim never leaves.

I'm glad Idon't have any kind of problem with my joycons

MVGeneral3352d ago

It's a matter of "when" not "if".

InTheZoneAC3352d ago

people should just turn theirs in regardless, that way they're guaranteed a fixed model and not sitting on one that will act up and worst case scenario is that it happens after the warranty.

if both were bad then it would be Total Recall

SpaceRanger3352d ago

Actually sent in my right joy-con since the "RB" button (R1 equivalent) started inputting itself as the home button.

They were nice enough to get me one day shipping. Sent it on Monday and I should be getting it by tomorrow evening. I'm ready to get back to Zelda!

rocketpanda3351d ago

If it is an issue the of course they should fix it for free as should any company who released hardware that could effect some users.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Jingsing26d ago

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Tanktopmaster9226d ago

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit26d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing26d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9226d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
