The downgrade is strong with this one. I'm disappointed honestly.

Artemidorus3343d ago

Glasses won't save you on this one.

Pintheshadows3343d ago

With the pupils so dilated it looks like everyone has taken party drugs.

MRMagoo1233343d ago

wait a second here , I said this looked like crap and I had all the ME fanboys telling me the game is pretty much perfect and only has slight flaws and now we have about 40 articles pointing out how bad it is ........I wonder what the excuses will be now.

TheCommentator3343d ago (Edited 3343d ago )

The character models haven't that changed much in terms of detail because mostly it's things like color swaps and stuff. Unfortunately, they didn't do anything to fix the crappy animations and they still look like lifeless puppets. The atmosphere and background details are a totally different story. They are so vastly different from the demo at times it almost starts to look last gen.

Seriously, with games like FH3 on Xbox and H:ZD on PS4 looking the way they do, there's no reason for the game to look this bad. Bioware has really lost it this time...

Magoo, you're right on the button! For the last few months, the slow trickle of new info combined with the cancellation of the multiplayer beta just screamed train wreck. I really wanted to like this game, but I knew it was going to be a let down... 😢

Kreisen3343d ago

Bioware looks the fans straight in the eyes and goes, its all plastic now...

TheCommentator3343d ago

If they would have looked into their fans' eyes earlier, maybe they'd have realized what real emotions looked like!

oIITSBIIo3343d ago

Not surprised, how many times have we seen this shit in the last 3 years?

Thefreeman0123343d ago

Big companies rushing games out before polishing expecting people to overlookthe issues. If you spend millions of dollars why risk your games name and reputation?

masterfox3343d ago

daaamnn , why they keep doing this kind of cr@#$p ?, well at least we are getting some good laughs in how ridiculous the character motion is. :D

Vantol3343d ago

The game is beyond redemption ...

C-H-E-F3343d ago

Ouch! 2:01 is MAJOR! Welp, i'll be passing on this one. I haven't played any of the others, but I thought i'd give this a chance, but if they downgraded the visuals this much, just think about what they did to in-game content.

For All Its Flaws, Mass Effect: Andromeda's Approach to Romance is Something ME4 Can Learn From

While Mass Effect: Andromeda was let in several key areas, one of its approaches to romances is something Mass Effect 4 should consider revisiting.

I hope Mass Effect 4 ignores the inferior prequels and instead closely follows the far superior Mass Effect: Andromeda and Dragon Age Inquisition.

anast478d ago (Edited 478d ago )

Mass Effect 4 should just make Mass Effect 1 but better with current tech. Fans would be happy. As far as romance, they should take notes from the Witcher and Cyberpunk.

Ristul477d ago

Later Bioware games have to little build up. You can have a normal conversation and all of a sudden BAM! The character you talk to becomes super flirty.

TricksterArrow477d ago

Reminds me of Baldur’s Gate. I wanted to practice some magic and Gale made it super weird. Not even gonna mention Astarion.

gold_drake477d ago (Edited 477d ago )

iii dunno about that.

the only really great and funny dating partner, is that outlaw guy anyways haha he was funny as hell.

other than that, i found every character to be very annoying.

ZeekQuattro477d ago

Shout out to Keri the Asari reporter. Current relationship status be damned as she's game either way. Anything for a good story. 🤣

Bro missing companions: Legion, Grunt, Samara/Morinth, Javik, EDI

anast519d ago

Legion, Zaeed, and Jack are my favorites.

RiseNShine519d ago

To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

anast519d ago

They lost too much talent.

IAMRealHooman519d ago

some in andromeda are decent, I agree with peebee and Vetra being good companions. Except Liam he's trash tier

anast519d ago

Liam lol I can't stand that dude.

IAMRealHooman518d ago

it's like bitch but your shirt back on, your not blue or spikey get away from me

BioWare Thinks Mass Effect Andromeda Was Better Game Than Reception Suggested

BioWare thinks Mass Effect: Andromeda was a better game than what reception suggested; taught the studio not to shoehorn open-world without any meaningful content in it.

thorstein554d ago

I played it and it wasn't as bad as people said. Is it in the 8-10 range? No.

It's a 6-7, which means it's a solid game.

LordoftheCritics554d ago (Edited 554d ago )

Veilguard and Andromeda are of similar level to me.
6 to 6.5 ish

Though I think i enjoyed Andromeda's combat and sense of scale a little bit more.

XBManiac553d ago

Veilguard has better graphics.

neutralgamer1992554d ago

I agree with you It was a 6.5 type game. Gameplay was solid everything else was lacking. Playing at launch with all the issues was just absurd. EA could have let the developers keep patching and fix the game but they stopped just like they did with anthem. It’s crazy to think multi billion dollar publishers can’t afford to keeping patching their games get medium size developers can support the game for years

But when you have android wilson running the company what else can we expect.

OtterX554d ago

Except 6-7 doesn't translate as solid. 6 means a bit flimsy, but still good/enjoyable if you can look past the flaws. 7, a little less flimsy, and enjoyable. 8-10 would be "solid".

But I get your point. I skipped the game entirely, so I don't have an opinion on it.

H9554d ago

I played this game back when I wanted to give every game I bought a fair chance and finish it, it was the reason why I stopped doing so, god the game was bad

TheNamelessOne554d ago

I actually enjoyed Andromeda. It wasn't a 10/10, by any means, but I played it years after the fact, after a lot of patching, and I had a good time with it.

anast554d ago

Same, I enjoyed it too. I might even replay it soon.

TheNamelessOne553d ago

Might do the same, honestly. Went through the trilogy a couple months back.

raWfodog553d ago

I liked it as well, and also played it for the first time over a year after it was released. The original trilogy was a better story overall IMO but I still enjoyed Andromeda.

lellkay554d ago

The game is so unbelivably bad, it's laughable.

pwnmaster3000554d ago (Edited 554d ago )

It really wasn’t. Well for me nd I’m a big fan of the series.
Was it mass effect standard? No
But overall I thought it was a decent game.
6-7/10.

Armaggedon554d ago

You might want to try playing a truly bad game. Go boot up two worlds or gollum to get the perspective you need

MatrixxGT554d ago

Wow, two worlds…red ringed my 360.

Armaggedon554d ago

Lol. Its one of the only games that I have experienced buyers remorse with. The only one I can think of is riders Republic.

matt139554d ago

So delusional, the title was an embarrassment to the original trilogy. it’s the equivalent of 2042 to the battlefield franchise.

thorstein554d ago

2042 had a redemption arc and what exists now is a pretty good FPS.
