Vulkan will support multiple GPUs only in Windows 10

Vulkan is a low-level API that made everyone cry the moment Khronos Group announced that it would support both Windows 7 and Windows 8.1. However, it appears that its multi-GPU functionalities will only be available in Windows 10.

For the inevitable whining that's going to come from this. Just upgrade and be done with it. There are very good under the hood reasons that these things don't support 7 and 8. You guys think Windows 10 is just a prettier looking Windows 8? Think again.

I think it's add laden privacy destroying spyware masqerading as an OS that breaks all my old games by not supporting their drm (which shouldn't have been in there in the first place but that's a different topic) and hides what options it does give you for privacy like 9 menus in. Fuck That.

I wouldn't take it when it was free, there's not a snowballs chance in hell I'm paying for it now. I will switch back to console and deal with their BS for AAA titles before I install windows 10 (indies still run on like, windows XP so I don't see them failing to support windows 7 properly for a very long time.)

I don't need luck. See, I have actual principles and refusing to use products that don't allow me my privacy is high enough up if it really comes down to it, I will refocus on a completely different hobby. It won't, because of said indie titles still supporting OS that are twice as old as mine and linux is an option and actual physical games in consoles are an option and emulators are an option, but if I really had to pick between windows 10 and not gaming at all, I'd stop gaming. I love it, but I also love reading, and snowboarding, and anime, and movies, and music, and window shopping, and many other things besides, and there are enough high quality experiences to be had in each of those things to last me multiple lifetimes.
