Resident Evil 7 returning character redesign explained by Capcom

From PlayStation Universe: "Capcom talks about its decision to redesign one of Resident Evil 7’s guest characters, who they didn't think looked realistic enough in previous games."

naruga3345d ago (Edited 3345d ago )

except RE 7 is a parody of the series they also tranmutated original characters to ugly fkers just to become more obnoxious to fans ... one word imnotfingplayingitevenifiwaspa idforcapcomgtfo

PurpHerbison3343d ago

I wish I had ultra deep ties with Capcom just to see how excited you get when I have them actually pay you to play it.

scofios3343d ago

Resident evil was dead when Mikami left Capcom .

Derceto3344d ago

.... and this is the result? I would hate to see what would happen to Street Fighter if they tried to make it "more realistic".

Pro-tip Capcom: You f**ked up.

greywolf393344d ago

We should give this guys a fkin star. When everything is nice and good they find a way to fck up. First RE in First Person?! Then this sht

ShadowKnight3344d ago (Edited 3344d ago )

Last time I check a lot of the fans like it in first person lmao😂

Fishy Fingers3344d ago

Especially those with PSVR.

PurpHerbison3344d ago

All about target generations and they are targeting those that grew up on Call of Duty.

Jason_Plays_PC3343d ago

You mean newcomers to the series like it in first person and not fans like me who grew up with the classics, please don't spread misinformation. RE7 is the most forgettable entry in the series and everyone has already moved on after finishing its 7hr campaign.

Link2DaFutcha3344d ago

RE7 was easily the best since RE4, does it look and play differently?! 100% it's a very different game, but thematically it's right there, and insanely fun. If you don't like 1st person, I get not wanting to play it, but if the only reason you're not is because it's not like previous RE games then you're just missing out.

Jason_Plays_PC3343d ago

The game was pretty average and 7hrs long, the game is forgotten about.

PurpHerbison3343d ago (Edited 3343d ago )

Lol, why is Jason so mad? RE6 was the most forgettable in the main series, easily. I wanted to bash RE7, and I am all about the classics but it isn't a bad game. I would of preferred a more original true to form approach but still, what we got was alright. My ranking will probably be different from most, but here we go.

RE3 > RE2 > RE1 > RE4 > RE7 > RE5* > RE6

I put a star next to RE5 because I really valued my first co-op online playthrough with my buddy. Other than that, it was trash.

Link2DaFutcha3343d ago

That's fair, I mean, I played it twice through, once on normal and again on the hardest. I really like the perspective and mechanics, but that's just me. Really likes the story too, but I'm a sucker for spooky stuff. Really want to see another game like Silent Hill 2.

Welcome to the age of realism .. where iconic characters lose their charm in the name of "realism"
If people are accepting this .. WE ARE Fxxxxxed !

zombiewombie3344d ago

How do we know he's lost his charm?
What if he can still punch boulders?

Agree with you buddy.

Review - Resident Evil 7 Biohazard (Switch 2) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Leo Faria: "It’s been nearly ten years, but Resident Evil 7 hasn’t aged a day. Its brand new Switch 2 port not only showcases that its gameplay is still fresh and tense after all these years, but also showcases how well Nintendo’s portable can handle some of the more demanding games from the previous generation, with a handful of improvements to make it look as good as its current-gen counterparts. There’s also the fact there’s a ton of extra content for you to enjoy, from videos to entire new modes and side campaigns, so this is a worthy inclusion to the Switch 2’s currently minute library, and a great excuse for you to replay one of the most important horror games released in recent memory."

they look great. Solid ports.

Hoping for a small Direct for these games. Especially RE9.

repsahj109d ago

The village graphics is insane!

repsahj109d ago (Edited 109d ago )

Smooth gameplay already! So excited for my Generation Pack pre-order. I already platinum RE7 on PS5, but I don't have the chance to play Village.

By the way, the RE7 and RE8 included in Generation Pack are both the Gold Editions.
