I would say that this is correct for games of high quality that will do well regardless. Otherwise it becomes an annoyance and people similar luck won't play the game. There's a lot of competition and while some of the best games can be even better by inducing the euphoria of figuring out a mechanic, others simply become more frustrating. It all depends on whether you wanna jump back in and play or not!
